Low to middle income earners aged 50 and older can take advantage of free tax assistance available.  Call Burlington Council on Aging at (781) 270-1950 for more information.

Volunteer Income Assistance Program (VITA) offers free tax help to people whose incomes are $49,000 or less.Tax Counseling for the Elderly Program (TCE) offers free tax help to people aged 60 and older

Also available is AARP Tax-Aide counseling.  Call 1(888)227-7669 or visit www.aarp.org for locations.

IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers provide personal, face-to-face tax help.
If your issue is complex, you need to resolve a tax problem, have questions about the tax law, or you want to talk with someone in person, visit your local Taxpayer Assistance Center where you can spread out your records and talk with an IRS representative.  No appointment is necessary.
